Governing bodies domain name registration, Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), Friday (18/03/2011) in San Francisco, California, United States (U.S.), approved the naming is to provide specifications for site smelling red light porn.
However, this decision is like a double-edged knife. Religious institutions say by giving xxx domain for porn sites mean legitimizing the contents of such content. On the other hand, pornography activists said that if this decision allows the government banned content.
Although it still depends on their willingness to use the domain xxx but they are worried the government will give the domain and mandate the use of pornographic content would be more easily blocked.
Diane Duke, Executive Director of the Free Speech Coalition, the pornography industry, said that if ICANN is to ignore the attitude of rejection of the pornography industry and deny freedom of speech on the internet.
